The first F1 season to feature a Drivers’ Championship was held in 1950 and was won by Italian Giuseppe Farina. There were 6 European Grand Prix races and the Indianapolis 500 was featured though the European drivers mostly did not take part in it. Farina won the British Grand Prix from pole at Silverstone while his main rival Juan Manuel Fangio took the second race at Monaco. Both drivers passed on the third race in Indianapolis and Farina took the Swiss Grand Prix at Bremgarten. Fangio took the next two in Belgium and France and Farina took the final Italian Grand Prix meaning they were tied on three wins each. Farina won the Championship with 30 points to Fangio’s 27 having finished 4th in Belgium.
Jaime Alguersuari drove in the 2009 Hungarian GP when he was just 19 years, 125 days. Max Verstappen broke that record by driving in the 2015 Australian Grand Prix at age 17 years, 166 days although he didn’t finish the race due to engine failure. In 2016 at the Spanish GP he came the youngest ever winner of an F1 race at 18 years, 228 days.
As of 2018 Ferrari is far ahead of the other constructors with 233 wins but their last title was in 2008. McLaren comes in second with 182 wins.
